Pressa Agri Provides "Feed Solution"
to Dairy & Beef Farmers in Asia
Pressa Agri was established by Sumitomo Corporation of America (SCOA) and its parent company, Sumitomo Corporation (SC) in May 2000. The company was established to consolidate both investment and trading activities of SCOA and SC in the cattle feed and other related agricultural products in the U.S. and Canada.
The main mission of Pressa Agri is to become an arm to connect farmers on both sides of the Pacific and provide a "Feed Solution" to both dairy and beef cow farmers in Asia. To achieve its mission, Pressa Agri markets its compressed hay products and implements technical knowledge to provide better feed solutions.
Pressa Agri consists of three divisions:
- Marketing & Services: Provides marketing and services through sales of compressed hay, other feed ingredients and feed equipment;
- Financing: Provides financing against harvested crops and harvest equipments for "Core Farmer Groups" who support each of the subsidiary plants.
- Investment: Provides commitment to each of the regions where the subsidiary plants are located to present an opportunity for the "Core Farmer Groups" to add value to their agricultural products by having their harvested products processed in the subsidiary plants and by participating in Pressa Agri's supply value chain.
