Living Related Products OverviewSumitomo Corporation of America's (SCOA) Living Related Products Division prides itself on the variety of import, export and triangle trade businesses it conducts, such as liner boards for banana boxes in the Philippines, and lumber from South Africa, Chile and Argentina for the U.S. marketplace. We handle a wide assortment of logs, lumber, building materials, pulp, paper, consumer products, and cement-related products. Included within the Living Related Products Division are commodities, concepts and products with industrial, commercial, residential and consumer applications. As such, we continuously seek out opportunities to diversify our products, investments, clients and range of services. SCOA entered the log and lumber business in the mid-1960s, and we remain strong in their exports and imports. We have adjusted to industry changes by redirecting our focus toward value-added wood products, such as specialty sizes and species, finished products, kiln-dried and finger-jointed lumber and panels, engineered wood and building materials consolidation. We are also active in the recyclables market, where in addition to paper recycling, we are working to develop a market for a wide array of engineered wood products. We recycle what was traditionally waste fiber, such as saw dust chips, trim blocks and low-grade wood, into high-performance wood products for use in residential and commercial construction. We invite you to learn more about our Living Related Products business and the opportunities it may offer your company. |
