Through this integrated network, including steel mill depots, customers
have coast-to-coast access to operations in California, Michigan, Illinois,
Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee. In addition, a steel
service center in Mexico supplies automotive parts and household appliance
industries for that market.
SCOA steel service centers offer their customers state-of-the-art processing
capabilities and cutting-edge information technology systems. Our service
centers have the ability to link directly to our customers manufacturing
plants, ensuring all orders are cost-effectively supplied on a just-in-time
basis.
SCOA facilities meet automotive, electrical and industrial manufacturers'
high demands for steel products. Industry leaders such as the automotive
industry's Big Three depend on our steel service centers to process steel
sheets and other parts to customers' precise specifications.
Summit Stainless Steel, LLC
A master distributor of stainless steel products, Summit Stainless Steel,
LLC has six warehouses in the United States ranging in size from 30,000
to 50,000 square feet..
Noble Summit Metal Processing
A joint venture created by Sumitomo Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation
of America with Noble International, Ltd., Noble Summit will supply laser
welded steel blanks to auto manufacturing plants in Mexico.
SET Enterprises, Warren, MI
In late 2003, SET Enterprises acquired Michigan Steel Processing (MSP)
from Sumitomo Corporation of America (SCOA) and at the same time, established
a strategic alliance with SCOA. The purchase of Michigan Steel Processing
and the strategic alliance with SCOA, coupled with SET's existing relationship
with Noble International, expanded SET's scale of operations and processing
capabilities.

Mexico
This steel service center established in 1993 to meet the just-in-time
delivery requirements for Mexico's automotive parts and household appliance
industries, is strategically located near automotive companies in the
city of Querétaro, the geographical center of Mexico.
SteelSummit Holdings, Inc., Cincinnati, OH; Nashville, TN; Greenville,
SC; Frankfort, IN; and Vicksburg, MS
SteelSummit Holdings, Inc., headquartered in New York, with QS9000 certified
steel service centers in Cincinnati, Ohio; Nashville, Tenn.; Greenville,
SC; Frankfort, IN; and Vicksburg, MS was established through the reorganization
of steel service centers in December 2000, serves the automotive and appliance
industries, among other manufacturers.
SCOA Rolled Steel Industry Accolades
Union Pacific Outstanding Supplier Award: Arkansas Steel
Associates, a SCOA subsidiary and leading North American supplier of tie
tracks, and Nippon Steel Corporation, a rail manufacturer, were recognized
by Union Pacific for their reliable supply and distribution of high quality
tie plates and rail.
