The TV commercial worldview
The girl in the video is a time traveler from 100 years in the future. In her future, a prosperous world has been realized through businesses created by the Sumitomo Corporation Group. The starting point for this prosperous world is our current era, which is unpredictable, complicated and uncertain. The story showcases the many ways in which the Group is working to create a prosperous future through the businesses it is currently engaged in, alongside the efforts of Group employees, in line with the corporate message "Enriching lives and the world," from the perspective of a young girl from the future.
Ideas behind the TV commercial
This first commercial in the series "Now is the time to make our presence felt" is based on the understanding that "At this turning point in history, the values that guide and shape the Business Philosophy we have inherited are emerging as the values the world needs." This represents a statement from the Sumitomo Corporation Group, which upholds its Corporate Message, "Enriching lives and the world," claiming the time has come for the Group to make its presence felt.
Future commercials in the series will illustrate how the Sumitomo Corporation is "Enriching lives and the world" through specific businesses through which we aim to become "No. 1 in Each Field." This is also the theme of our Medium-term Management Plan 2026 announced in May 2024, a plan that will come to fruition through Group employees' combined efforts.
The "Beyond Problem Solving to Value Creation GX" commercial focuses on Green Transformation, an area we are creating new value in alongside our stakeholders, while both facilitating the transition to carbon neutrality and securing stable supplies of energy.
