Assistance for Firefighting in the Amazon Tropical Rainforest

Sumitomo Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer: Masayuki Hyodo) has joined with its subsidiary Minera San Cristobal S.A. to contribute approximately 900 thousands yen in emergency aid to combat fires that have broken out in the Amazon tropical rainforest area of Bolivia. The donation will be utilized to cover transport expenses for shipping to Bolivia nearly 110 firefighting suit/helmet sets procured in Japan.

Sumitomo Corporation offers its heartfelt condolences to everyone in the disaster-hit areas, and its sincerest hopes that they will recover as quickly as possible.
