In recent years, e-commerce business and retailers have dramatically enhanced their service quality through corporate efforts, which means that they are demanding logistics services of a higher standard. Meanwhile, labor shortages and a growing momentum for work style reform in Japan are driving up costs. Accordingly, logistics facilities are tasked with helping logistics services improve their service quality and further streamline their work environment.
Sumitomo Corporation regards logistics properties as the fourth pillar of its real estate business, following office buildings, commercial facilities and condominiums, and started developing a series of cutting-edge logistics facilities under the brand name SOSiLA in 2014. Giving ample consideration to local communities, the Company has developed logistics facilities in urban areas to shorten truck transportation distances and delivery lead times as well as improve the work environment. In addition, we addressed the needs of a wide range of customers by offering diverse functions at the facilities. Starting with Robot Studio Osaka, we intend to offer our customers reinforced support in their efforts to improve the quality of their logistics services, not only through our facilities, but also the convenient “soft” functions they provide.
Sumitomo Corporation will consolidate its integrated corporate strength to continue providing SOSiLA logistics facilities that optimally address the changing needs of tenants.
