Our Goals and Policies on Climate Change Issues
Some of our shareholders have pointed out that our policies on climate change issues are not consistent with the Paris Agreement and our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050, and we would like to make the following announcement to promote accurate understanding of our officially announced policy.
In developing a sustainable society, we have identified mitigation of climate change as one of the key social issues and in June 2020, we set a long-term goal of making the business activity carbon neutral by 2050, as part of our efforts to contribute to the achievement of goals set in the Paris Agreement.
Furthermore, in line with our commitment to achieve carbon neutrality, we developed medium-term goals with specific action plans and reviewed our policies on climate change issues, which was announced on May 7, 2021.
