Sumitomo Corporation Group Support Relief Efforts for Earthquake-Hit in Southeast-Turkey

Sumitomo Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masayuki Hyodo) and Sumitomo Corporation Dis Ticaret A.S. (Head Office: Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, President: Hironori Amano) have committed monetary donation in the amount of 12 million JPY as humanitarian aid to those affected in both Turkey and Syria by the earthquake-hit in Southeast-Turkey.

Sumitomo Corporation will donate 9 million JPY to Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Japan and 2 million JPY to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency(*). Sumitomo Corporation Dis Ticaret A.S. will donate 1 million JPY to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to those affected by this disaster. We sincerely wish for the earliest recovery from these unfortunate events.
