Sumitomo Corporation Identifies Key Social Issues and Implements Long-Term Targets to Support Sustainability

Sumitomo Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer: Masayuki Hyodo) has identified six key social issues particularly relevant to the company and set out long-term targets to address each issue. This is part of Sumitomo Corporation Group’s sustainability management. 

Identifying these issues and setting targets demonstrates a clear commitment to moving the Sumitomo Corporation Group’s sustainability management another step forward. In addition to the long-term targets, the Group will further determine medium-term targets and KPIs, which will guide the Group in addressing these social issues in a quantifiable way. In the interest of accountability, the Group’s progress will be monitored and disclosed to its stakeholders.
