Yodoyabashi Gate Tower, a Large-Scale Business Tower for the Next Era, Celebrates Its Grand Opening on Thursday, July 9 With a Commemorative Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony- A new landmark for the Yodoyabashi district opens its doors with approximately 130,000 m² of total floor area, 3,640 m² per floor -
To commemorate the opening of the large-scale mixed-use development Yodoyabashi Gate Tower (hereinafter the "Property"), a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The ceremony was attended by project stakeholders and members of the media, who gathered to celebrate the Property's grand opening.

During the ceremony, Koji Eguchi, Chairman of the Yodoyabashi Station West District Urban Redevelopment Association, and President and Representative Director of Eguchi Bussan Co., Ltd., spoke about the significance of the opening and his aspirations for the future. "Today’s grand opening is not the finish line but rather the beginning of a new chapter. We hope this development will drive the continued growth of the Yodoyabashi area, becoming a landmark where people come together and new value is created," he said. Following his remarks, representatives involved in the development and operation of the Property took to the stage for the commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating Yodoyabashi Gate Tower's grand opening.

Grand opening attracts a large crowd of visitors
On opening day, many visitors arrived for the opening, and the facility was soon bustling with activity the doors opened. The retail zone, extending from Basement Level 1 to the second floor, opened with 26 stores offering dining, retail and services. Three additional stores are scheduled to open in autumn 2026, bringing the total to 29. Each tenant welcomed large numbers of customers throughout the day. The retail lineup attracted considerable attention for its distinctive mix of tenants, including businesses making their Osaka debut alongside new retail concepts.
Overall concept and floor configuration
Completed on December 15, 2025, Yodoyabashi Gate Tower is a large-scale, office-centric mixed-use development that makes full use of its prime location at the gateway to Midosuji in Osaka, adjacent to Nakanoshima Island. The project has been designed to create a vibrant, refined destination that complements its surroundings. By developing generous open spaces both within the redevelopment area and along the nearby Okawacho Park waterfront, the project will contribute to the ongoing revitalization and growth of the Yodoyabashi district of Osaka, while helping create a more attractive and welcoming urban environment.
The 29-story building with two basement levels comprises a retail zone on Basement Level 1 through the second floor, alongside office floors from the third to ninth floors, as well as from the eleventh to the twenty-seventh floors. The eleventh floor, which forms the uppermost level of the building's podium, features a rooftop garden open to the local community and mixed-use spaces including public-benefit functions.
