Origin and meaning of the facility name

(Origin of the name)
The Seibu Group’s slogan is “Smiles Ahead,” and the Japanese word for “smile” is hohoemi. The first part of the facility name was taken from its last syllable. This was combined with the word “Terrace,” which symbolizes comfort—a value that the Sumitomo Corporation Group focuses on in the development of retail facilities.
(Meaning of the name)
It represents our hope that Emi Terrace will be a fun, comfortable center for the town that will invite repeat visits, and that it will bring many smiles to the people living here.
(Logo design concept)
The design symbolizes the letters for “Emi,” and the triangles represent “people,” “the town,” and “nature.”
This combination expresses that this is a terrace filled with the smiles of everyone there.

It will feature a wide variety of 139 stores, including first openings in Saitama prefecture and local specialties.

Through our “multi-target + multi-occasion” strategy, we will operate stores for a wide range of customer ages, from families raising children to active seniors, with a focus on residents living along the Seibu Railway line.
The facility will function as a base that is in the right position to create and express a “Tokorozawa Style” that features Tokorozawa’s uniqueness and allows people to enjoy both urban and suburban charm. Accordingly, our goal was to produce a lineup of stores that have never existed in the area before and that offer new experiences.
