Entrance Ceremony in 2025

On April 1, 2025, Sumitomo Corporation held an entrance ceremony at our head office, welcoming 97 new employees. Following a congratulatory message from the President and CEO, announcements of individual assignments were also made.

President and CEO Shingo Ueno addressed the new employees, touching on the current business environment. He discussed three significant trends: "a world of high uncertainty," "the importance of sustainability" and "the AI revolution." Amid these major trends, he spoke about how to take on the "challenges for the next 100 years."(*1)

Following the message from the President and CEO, Sumitomo Corporation Group CEOs presented new employees with their appointment letters and company ID lanyards, accompanied by messages from their respective divisions. The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photo session in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The entrance ceremony was simultaneously broadcasted to new employees' families and all our executives and employees, allowing everyone to join in celebrating this very significant day.
