MPT certified as Myanmar's fastest mobile network

Jointly with KDDI Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation is engaged in the telecommunications business in Myanmar through Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT). On September 19, 2017, MPT received the Speedtest® Award in recognizing it as Myanmar's fastest mobile network. The Award is presented by Ookla®(*). Based on the data from measurement apps collected from January through June 2017, MPT was certified as the fastest mobile network carrier in Myanmar.

We have worked together in an effort to improve telecommunications quality and construct an environment in which many users comfortably use mobile phone services. We will continue to contribute to the development of the economy and industry in Myanmar, as well as the quality of living there, while string toward improving customer satisfaction.
