Additional Investment in KIYONO to Strengthen Business Offerings in Marketing DX- Expanding the digital marketing business across the full value chain through Group company collaboration -

Sumitomo Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Shingo Ueno) has expanded its investment in KIYONO Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kenichi Kiyono), a data-based digital marketing business. As a result of this investment, the Sumitomo Corporation Group will strengthen the business offerings(*) of its value chain in the field of marketing DX.

Sumitomo Corporation's Full Value Chain Strategy in Marketing DX

Sumitomo Corporation Group has a full value chain strategy in the field of marketing DX. Through its wholly owned consolidated subsidiary, SC Digital, the Group has established a system to provide client companies with a full range of services, from consulting to system implementation and marketing operations, to provide business offerings that meet our clients' challenges and needs.

Starting with additional investment in KIYONO, we will expand our DX support business centered on marketing DX with SC Digital at the core, and strengthen our business offerings capabilities to provide client companies with digital solutions to their issues. Further, in line with our full value chain strategy, we will continue to seek alliances with companies in the field of marketing DX to enhance services including consulting, system construction and marketing operations.

Goals of Expanded Investment in KIYONO

KIYONO provides integrated support for companies, from planning digital marketing strategies, to building customer data platforms (CDP) that aggregate and analyze customer-related data, implementing marketing automation (MA) and submission of digital advertisement. In addition, with concerns over privacy and security driving a shift towards cookie-less marketing, KIYONO offers a range of solutions, leveraging its strengths in handling digital advertising based on first-party customer data that does not rely on third-party cookies.

Through expanded investment in KIYONO, Sumitomo Corporation Group will further strengthen collaboration with the company, which specializes in developing solutions using first-party data and providing support for accompanying marketing operations. This will effectively accelerate the provision of marketing operation support and data-driven solutions based on targeting individual consumers for client companies seeking to enhance their marketing activities.

(*) Business offerings include analyzing and organizing issues faced by customers, and proposing and resolving them by combining different digital tools.
