By repairing aged infrastructure and incidental equipment on the existing line, the Project will help improve safety and operating speeds on the Yangon Circular Railway and set the cornerstone for reducing serious traffic jams in Yangon urban area. The work is expected to begin in or after April 2019 and to be completed by May 2022, with the contract amounting to about 7 billion yen.

Kinden has been engaging in construction and maintenance of power supply infrastructure such as substations, overhead and/or underground transmission line and distribution line in domestic and overseas. In this project, by providing its best know-how, Kinden shall perform power supply works intended for signal systems. Kinden shall support Myanmar’s infrastructure through high quality power supply.

The Consortium will improve the safety of rail transport services and operating speed by repairing aged facilities and equipment, and will help boost Myanmar’s economic development and enhance its population’s quality of life.
