Tim traces his journey from Georgetown University—where he earned dual degrees in law and foreign service—to a New York law firm, and ultimately to Japan, where he took a chance on a two-year contract role in Sumitomo's legal department. With his wife's support and a five-year-old son in tow, that leap of faith became the foundation of a decades-long career. Tim also opens up about the ideas that have shaped his approach to leadership: servant leadership, psychological safety, and what he calls "thankful stewardship."
